Snow Reports Please

Hi All, as most of you know, we are intending to take off tomorrow afternoon to visit family in the RV. First Stop for a couple of days in Birmingham (Church Farm) and then up to Elgin in Scotland. I would really appreciate updates from fellow members up and down the Country on what the Road conditions are like. We can then make decisions on when we go where.

Just driven across from Cambridge to Midlands. Not very nice, salters out on the motorways so lanes mostly clear, but signs obscured, and a couple of accidents, probably skids I expect but didn't look serious. Worst bit was probably about Rugby. Slush lying on ground in Midlands and most cars looking white.

Its the met office site and it shows the planned weather for the next 5 days and the severe weather warnings - there is a severe yellow warning for the area you are going to

Liverpool Has snow, Lymm Cheshire has snow we have a mixture of snow and rain.

Beware just had an amber alert in from north Gloucestershire upwards main roads should be OK but side roads most likely evil

Small amounts of sleet trying to dissolve the last remnants of last night's snow. Lots of blue sky up there.

Thanks to all who have replied, we are leaving shortly for Birmingham. Stay a couple of days and then make our way up to Elgin. Can't trust the overblown weather forecasts as they are always protecting their rear. Much prefer a bit of advice from knowledgeable people on the ground.

Totally clear and roads good through Lancashire m6 up to lakes. Very cold today though so maybe snow on the way. If it snows overnight will let you know.

Heading our way, give or take, Scone just outside Perth, BLOODY COLD, 9.55 and -6 outside. CM of snow, nothing to worry about, but icy, so take it easy.

Sun is out and it looks loverly, frosty snowy trees, ground all white.
