Extra Charge for RV

We get similar arguments about 5'ers - another weird fantasy about some sites - we do not accept twin axle caravans --- WHY -- when challenged I was told they weigh too much errr but the weight is distributed across 4 wheels instead of 2 so the footprint weight should be less. General answers are well thems the rules or that's what the boss said.

Shame you can't just wind one axle up like some lorries do for tag axles ;-)

Whilst £25 per night is plenty for the right facilities I would pay it, but I would complain at being charged more than a euro on size alone and would never go back I don't mind paying for toilets and showers I don't use because the cost of building and maintaining the same is there if I use them or not and it's my choice not too, although I have never been charged extra for a trailer I would pay it if asked so long as it was a reasonable cost, the problem is once there are you stopping the night or sodding off Mmmmm they may get one night out of me then I'm off, there is a huge cost to running and maintaining a good site but a field with a porta cabin is just that and £15 per night is more than enough, we often now stay at Wells holiday park somerset, they always put themselves out don't charge any extra if every site owner had the same attitude as Jason they would be much buisier during the off season just my opinion of course.

I think the "we don't take twin axle caravans" has something to do with the fear that you may be gypsey's? Obviously when you DON'T ask to read the owners palm, or offer to sell them lucky heather you may be allowed to stay on the site, but under no circumstances start eating your hedgehog pie.

We have known Jason for a very long time we used to jet ski with home and yes your right he is a nice guy and nice site , the only reason we didn't stay there was I wanted to spend time with my grand children who live just up the road and they couldn't visit me as they are strictly no children. Next time we are over that way though we will stay on his site

They don't put hedgehog in a pie they bake it in clay very nice too

When we book a site---as soon as they start adding bits on, we dump that site, there are plenty of others---------we were booking a site last weekend and one site said, you can have a campfire (in designated places) but you can only use wood that you buy from us,-------we can't be doing with that 'add on' stuff
Having said that we were taking two grand-kids with us and the site wanted 50p extra per child-----I can understand that
