Been at rv today doing checks & getting ready for the off. I have a course to attend at Aberdeen on Tuesday so we are setting off tomorrow & having a few stops on the way up there. Nothing spoiling so after the course we will have a slow amble back at our leisure. Just me the wife & the 2 dogs, with jack Daniels of course !!!!!

Just starting
We are out this weekend which is really nice as we haven't used Wilma much this year. Seen two RVs -one on site that has now left and one on the road. Ironically we saw the one coming down the road and waited for it to pass before we pulled out of the pub (in the car) so we could have a look at it. Wish we hasn't waited as we then were following it so when it took its wing mirror off on a lorry we ended up with a chunk of it in our front plastic skirt :-(

Claire:-}

Oh Claire, poor Wilma  and our Yankee Lad still hasn't met her yet, maybe next year :001_smile:

Nowt down for this weekend Stu, Jim's working Sat, Sun, Mon then he's on mini digger duty in my garden next week! I'm in work though so he'll have no-one on brew n butty duty for him, bless :001_tongue: so if anyone's nearby........

Thanks Sharon but she is ok, she was safe on site we were in the car so it's only the car that is minorly (is that a word?) injured. The RV we were following lost a mirror -not sure if the lorry did as well. If the lorry had a dash cam as lots do then the RV could well be getting a call from the police for failing to stop, can't see it could not have known its mirror had hit the lorry.

maybe 30 years camping with bikes etc but last 5 in RV, old bones and all that. Still do the ocassio
We've had a good one till now.

Ran up toChris & Duncans(SSS) to drop rv off on Thursday, stayed overnight.
Headed off to Whitley Bay, North Shields for a bike club rally Friday morning.
Real good weekend, although got drenched on a ride out.

Fortunately liver had had enough of 15 year old single malt Glenlivet by Sunday so ran back down to Chris & Duncans in the sunshine although chilly, yesterday.

Bikes cleaned washing done, thank god,as it is pissing down and blowing quite hard now. Don't think well be going to far today unless weather changes a bit.

Got a couple of days out in Lincoln and Newark planned maybe if can get bike there in dry, whilst Duncan slaves over rv, then hopefully or nor depending on how you look at it, got to run over to Brian in Owestery for a complete set of new treaders.

Then it will be work work and more work for a few weeks me thinks to refil the coffers a bit.

Spent Saturday night at south shields wild camping then up to north berwick Sunday night at Tantallon camp site. Monday night & tonight at deeside holiday park at maryculter near Aberdeen. Done course in Aberdeen today, all passed so that's good (especially after the amount of JD consumed last night) & then back to Tantallon at north berwick tomorrow for a couple of nights. Both sites have been really nice places, hence going back to north berwick. Then we will tootle back down nearer to home with another stop but not sure where yet, so far so good !!!!!!!

weekend

Well it was Radio 2 Carfest for us over the weekend - wait for it - in a tent!
Couldn't get a motorhome pass for the weekend - which you need as well as the weekend camping ticket, there a bit like rocking horse wotsit.
All was fine with that until Monday morning when there was a degree of wetness in the air, and 5 tents later I was a tad wet.
We now have bits of tents strewn around the house, workshop & garage gently dripping.
We are off to the Great Dorset Steam Fair tomorrow - this time in proper accommodation.

Regards

Arthur.
