OK people, here is the rub.

As you all know, mine gott I've moaned about it enough, I have my left ankle in plaster, for just over another 4 weeks. After that time we hope to go away, and it will be during the school summer holidays. During the time away, I will have to return to the St Albans area for physio, weekly, and during that time Management also has several dentist appointments.

So, I need a base for about 4 weeks that is within striking distance of home. Don't care how far as long as it's a quick ride (30 miles ish) in the car home and back, because of Management's disabilities she does not do too well in car rides. When we go away in Winnie she travels either watching a DVD or more probably asleep in the bedroom.

So, I need recommendations, for a hard standing at a super pretty site nearby. Any ideas please.

Yes Olley Dolly, I have. There's not much around St Albans though. So in the end, using the BPG, we went out to Oxford and booked all of August.

So I didn't need any of you lot anyway. So there.

Why ask for help then Mike? I have just copied a few sites out of the BPG and was going to post them for you to peruse. sounds like you have booked with Greenhill or Lincoln.

Because I asked 3 days ago, before I started looking yesterday, hoping there was something close to St Albans not shown in the BPG. Thank you for your efforts though, it is appreciated. :001_tongue: Management said to give you a kiss.

And you are right, Greenhill. Never been there before, but have been to Lincoln several times in the Caravan. :crying:

Best I could come up with Mike !!!

Sorry Mike:sad:,I for one should have gone to the trouble of trying to recommend a site for you,I should have sat down and taken time to assist you in your hour of need.
After lots of searching there's a cracker in Brazil......try that one mate !!!:lol::lol::lol::001_tongue::001_tongue:

Best wishes John P:thumbup:

That's ok Mike its just I have spent the last few days looking for sites, then phoning the owners to see if they have room, making sure that they realise who's august presence will be gracing their site, checking dog walks, toilet facilities, (I believe you are partial to porta cabins?) Making sure that it will be quiet at night so as not to disturb your very necessary beauty sleep. All that and more, and what happens? You book somewhere else.

Thanks for the offer but I will pass on the kiss.:001_tongue:
