We stayed here this weekend with Brian and Chris (Destination Unknown) and Tony and Penny (Tonypennycj)
Although it is only 2 miles from our house we decided to joint them on the site as it makes little difference how far away your are from home, away is away where ever you are :D:D:D

http://www.midfieldcaravanpark.co.uk/tourers.cfm

All grass pitches but firm and well drained, not all level but with a little effort getting level is not a big problem, electric on all pitches, water and dump easy enough in several places around the site. Plenty of rubbish bins about the site. Access is easy with tarmac roads all around with superb views over the town and country side. About a mile and a half to walk into town or 10 minute walk down to the bus stop with regular buses. Think that covers it pretty well but anything else just ask (y)

Oh and they make superb Pizza's at Morrisons that you take home to cook yourself........Just don't let Elaine order your Hawaiian as she will ask for it with no Pineapple, so really Ham Pizza :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Older and wiser now.
And a fabulous weekend it was..........

Sunny days, magical scenery, views to die for, dear friends, a guide who knows everyone and can even find the key for a locked gate on a private roadway to the summit. Such wonderful companions - what more can anyone ask.

It is at times like this that words can never be enough.

Thank you so very much all of you.

I see in their pdf charges download that its the same price for touring caravan or tent,or Dormobile /Camper (RV)?
Only 'add ons' regarding size is £5 for tents over 4m

Do they know when they put (RV) that could be a vehicle up to 40ft?

Not long enough
Had a great if not sooper weekend with the rabble at Abbywhichmuch, Abbieswitchwhich Oh that place in Wales.
Anyway great site and friendly which made it a pleasure to stay there, great views and easy for doingba bit of exploring the area for Ice cream and Chip shops.
Also had a look at a local Scrap Yard but it was all Scrap so nothing worth out, nice owners but the guard dogs are very forouchous so be aware.

Will be back in the area for a longer stay and enjoy the company of good friends.

They already knew about our Beaver as seen it from the road when passing our house I also gave them the lengths of Tony & Penny's and Brian & Chris's Rv's when I phoned to ask if we could stay the weekend and they were fine with them so at 40' I don't see any problems either. The owners have one of them funny little 28' Bustynerdser Ice Cream vans so I guess understand about the size issue thing (y)
