A large crowd at the Menin Gate for the last post at 8o clock, coupled with the sight of the names of many thousands of soldiers that didn't get a proper burial , very moving and incomprehensible

Ypres though is not a sad place,a beautiful town with historic buildings, cobbled streets and endless walks and cycle rides.
The site we are on is just 15 mins walk from the town.

Ypres is a fantastic place - we have been a few times and every time find new places to go.

Are you at the Campsite ‘Jeugdstadion’ ??

Yes Bill, a really convenient and adequate site and not expensive at 18€ a night

That's the one we use - so easy to get to and ideally located for the area and as you say sensible price - expect you are on the top level on the left as you go in.

Have you had a one of the waffles yet from the shop on the corner opposite the main museum - fantastic

Does that mean it won't take a maximum size RV?

Hi Tony, there are a couple of pitches that would take up to around 34 ft. If you wanted to visit worth contacting site and asking but I will have a look round later and come back
