Just got home yesterday after the worst drive/sailing I"ve ever done, and I travel the Irish sea a lot...:crying: 6 hours drive from Saumur to Cherbourg then 19 hours on a ferry to Dublin... Uuuugh... I'm never seasick, but 24 hours later, I still feel as if I'm moving ! Jeaz, I"ll drive in any rain but, the wind... Absolutely incredible, at one time we were blown onto the grass at the side of the autoroute, not fun, and, if we did"nt have the boat to catch, I"d have pulled over to wait it out. Thank god there was no barrier or ditch "cos I"d have been in it ! Anyway, had a great 4 weeks on 3 sites. La Yole (St Jean des Monts, big pitch, 3 connections), Camping Atlantique, (Palmyre, huge pitch, 3 connections) and Camping Montsabert,(Saumur, crap site, don"t bother, pm. me for details...). Only wind damage was to my Winguard antenna, the wind blew the front alu. piece right back, even tho" it was tightly down on the roof ! Can they be bought, or do I have to get the whole head ?
Hope all had a good July, nice to be back, can"t wait to get away again :thumbup::001_smile:

Indeed Larry :thumbup:, thing is, I hadn"t read a paper for days and had no idea that the weather was to be so bad. Felt sorry for all the people going the other way to start their hols" in driving rain and gale force winds, at least we had sun and mid 20"s to enjoy for most of ours :001_smile:
