just starting to plan going to france, italy in may.we can stay at the bottom of spain for winter and so could also include portugal for return trip. no time limit for getting back.
what if you went to any of these countries, was the best route in/out. what was the best thing you saw, best places you visited/ travelled to. what did you regret not doing/seeing. what would you have done with hindsight. we have a fifth wheel + chevrolet lpg petrol overall length 42 foot. [fifth wheel 32foot] weight 7ton gross. we can travel about 180miles on lpg have not bothered with petrol. have been told france is ok for lpg, i know spain is pretty bad, what about italy & portugal.
best sites to stay on and where to find out about them.
love all things historic.
anyone know the price of lpg in italy at the moment
at the moment we are in mojacar, in spain in our house, on terrace a very nice 80degrees in the shade.
this will be our first trip overseas in fifth wheel and we also have to get cat chipped and jabbed before we go, so any tips on that will also be of help.
i know there is lots of information on here, but thought this would be a good way to start the cunning plan.

hi
I do agree that that is a lot of info to ask for:sad:-------break it down, and concentrate on one bit at a time:biggrin::biggrin:
In contrast to the experience of pamdella----we found no trouble wild camping ANYWHERE in Portugal---but because there are so many vans along the coast in the Algarve it tends to be a bit crowded there:sad::sad:
Although we have a smaller RV, most of the places we stopped at would have very easily have accepted larger units--most could have taken several at once----but we were travelling alone so only looking for a single spot------------an important help is www.campingcar-infos.com (or something like that:blushing:) it's free on-line --very cheap to download:thumbup::thumbup:-----covers all Europe------it is in French but we manage to work out what we need:lol:-----(you could translate some if you were not too sure about the details---we never have)
We found LPG (bottle filling) in 'all the aires' book-----we only used a place in Algarve and another at Breganca (in the North)
Never be afraid to chat to other travellers on the road they (we) are always willing to share info:thumbup:
There are LOADS of free aires where you can dump your tanks in Portugal:thumbup:
Go and enjoy it

thanks for the reply, i wasn't expecting everything to be answered just perhaps one thing you liked best in the trip you did, as where ever we have been in the uk we are always told we missed the best bit in a town we visited. so perhaps just the highlight of your trip, especially as there does not seem to be much happening on the site at the moment as its winter, so you could remember your past trips.
