First trip to France in the RV

Hi all,

just back from our first trip to France in the RV, unable to keep in touch due
to technical problems (we broke the computer:blushing Anyway no major problems, some good sites to report on, tolls when we used them were ok rangeing from class 2-4 (we only paid for class 4 once, the lady in the booth didnt agree with our argument that we were a campervan, but hey god loves a trier:biggrin No problems locating GPL services, and no problems with the police and the A-frame:biggrin:
The campsites we used were all with the ACSI discount card so no more than 16 euros a night:biggrin: apart from Bien Assie in Guines on the last two nights:sad:
full price 28euros a night, but handy for the vet with Belle. We went on to Ile de Re and managed with no great problems, we only held the traffic up for short periods:lol::lol: and when the natives pipped we joined in, much to the disgust of fellow GB travellers in their caravans:wink::wink:
A couple of little incidents with my new tote tank:blushing::blushing:but you learn by your mistakes, and so i did:lol::lol:
Anyway back safely, trip enjoyed :thumbup::thumbup:

All i will say for the moment is, you know when the shower hose comes off its base and flings around the shower, well the tote tank hose does the same if you don,t read the instructions and open the valve before you empty it:blushing::blushing: Not a good idea when the dump is located on the main enterance to the site,:crying::crying:
Me and friends we were traveling with took half an hour to clean up the mess,
Luckily it was a good dump with a high power hose!!!!!!, which was also used on my legs!!!!!:blushing::blushing:

There now you know, but i have learned by my mistakes!!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

See I told you we would be sympathatic :lol::lol:-----------------------you are not alone with these learning experiences--------------------------------I had a lucky near-miss while wild-camping, we used to dunp the grey on the grass---one day I pulled the WRONG valve handle----I VERY Quickly shut it----and managed to move a nearby molehill to cover the evidence :biggrin:
