Well tonight we are in Chester found a superb spot and only £1.50 on a bit of a slope but not too bad at all.
It's a carpark and the sign on the gates say that gates are locked between 10pm and 6am there are 5 or 6 campers here altogether the pay and display machine says that after 5pm it is £1.50 for cars and £5 for lorries and coaches, easy access and I'm thinking pretty handy for walking into city centre. I never thought to check the all day parking rates but will take a look later when I walk the dogs. I only paid the £1.50 but thinking about it perhaps I should have paid the lorry and coach price but too late now!! Pictures below of google maps off my phone for the location.......

Well so far all good and no sign of that Symsy56 limping old guy :giggle: in fact the carpark is just as empty as last night. One ice cream van has already left, must be a beach near here he's hoping to get to before you two but no chance of him being up, there and set up before Stu as we all know Stu is the early bird that catches the worm don't we (y):giggle:
Bit of breakfast and off to the zoo me thinks if Mrs Smith don't want to go to the shops that is!!:sweating:

If we weren't so busy with the houses we would...
Well as I keep preaching, all work and no play is not always the best way, we learned that the hard way, I think now we have found a better balance but I was very blind to it all before and would not listen whenever I was told so fully understand why you work like you do (y)

It's not the amount of work, just the timing... People in the holiday cottage for the weekend & they didn't arrive until 9.15 last night due to traffic on the motorway.. Nettie has to be here to show them in, so it kind of buggers up the get away for the weekend for us..

Yes I understand that as well, Elaine has wanted us to buy holiday let cottages in the past and I must admit that I've been tempted as the returns are generally better than our full time lets but at the cost of loosing our freedom a certain amount so I've always resisted but it is like everything the more effort you put in the more you get out hopefully it is all well worth your effort and I'm sure it is. I walked past that car park last year and wondered if they would let an RV on.
Very handy for the city centre.

Nope never got kicked out and was not busy till about mid morning, even if the car park is full of cars you can still get in with an RV and drive around as there is plenty of space, coaches were coming and going all the time we were there. there are coach/lorry spaces along the one end and along the top which are angled so you can get in and out easily, it's very well laid out for coming and going even for 40' RV's.
If we organised a meet and all arrived in the early evening before the gates were locked (not that they were on Friday night) then we could stay all weekend I'd guess o long a we paid the parking charges I don't see what anyone could say! I'm sure we will be staying there again and in the not too distant future. ten minute walk and into the city centre, plenty of pubs and restaurants.......and shops if that is your thing!!! really pretty city and nice place to visit.

Picture of the parking meter price list........

Well I guess the answer is YES as we stayed there, I do wonder though being as we are class 4 for MOT then does that give us the right to only have to pay car prices not lorry or coach prices? As I posted earlier for the night I only paid the £1.50 car charge but in the day while we went into the city centre for a couple of hours we paid the coach price as Elaine was worried about getting a fine....myself I'd of chanced the car fee and stuck the sticker so high in the windscreen they'd of needed binoculars to read it :giggle::giggle:
