Austria and the Go Box

We are hopefully off to Slovenia in May. We are travelling from Dunkirk on a circular route, returning via Italy and France. We have to cross through Austria. If your vehicle is 3500 kgs plus, you need a Go Box to travel on motorways. There are also 4 charge bands according to your emission class. Has anyone used a Go Box? Is it practical to avoid motorways in an A class?

Go box

We used a go box on our last trip to Austria ,cost us a bloody fortune and we only did about 180 clicks.
No way round it I'm afraid if your using motorway
We left Austria into Germany via back roads didn't cost us a penny.

Someone posted on one of the forums a while back that its difficult to avoid the M/ways as many roads have weight restrictions.
