I have just booked a newly refurbished Travel Lodge at Heathrow for our flights to Florida, as they are at 9.00 a.m. and I would hate to miss the plane because of M25 Traffic. But they cost me £29 per family room. Makes the £40 for a site look a little stupid.
All well and good Paul but not at all cost effective for a trip into the Centre of Cardiff though is it ;);)
I've just spent most of January in Travel Lodge about 8 miles from centre of Cardiff, the cheapest night was £39 sometimes it was as much as £70 to of stayed in Central Cardiff travel Lodge would of been more. I did not need to be Cntral Cardiff so was not bothered.
Just checked to stay tomorrow night would be £40 8 miles out where I was or £43 central if you book in advance you get a better discount.....
Just done a check for same one I stayed at on 14th April and only £31 but not a good comparison for a comparable central Cardiff location so....... central Cardiff Travel Lodge£37 add to that for central Cardiff £18.30 parking charge and then add £40 for the 2 dogs and I think the camp site does not look quite so stupid.

Yes I agree for a camp site expensive but when you compare it on a like for like basis for location then not at all bad and you get to sleep in your own bed and use your own facilities and your cheap beer out of your fridge. (y)(y)(y):):):)

My point exactly, why pay that much to use your own facilities. Keep away from Cardiff is my idea, Travel lodge at Heathrow is 2 mins walk from the Tube, with direct link into the west end for a few quid. But you do have to book 3 months in advance to get a good rate.:D
