We made it after a good but slightly bumpy crossing. Good food drink and entertainment and arrived to a sunny Bilbao. Nearly had to come home again, couldn't find the bl##dy passports :001_rolleyes:
After a very scenic ride through the very mountainous area of Cantabria we arrived at Burgos for the night and were soon greeted by RVOC member Keithccs and his good lady Jean who were already on site, we have been invited round for a tiffin this evening, very sociable
We head further south in the morning, probably to Caceres where they have a wash bay so I can give the RV a scrub down .

Good to hear the trip wasn`t to bad, Bro...

Don't rush,,, we had heavy rain last night and this Morning...

Looks a bit iffy for the next day or so....but never mind,,, it`s free "Tapas" with any drink at the bar tomorrow...

Watch that Keith bloke.... he will offer to buy you a drink then make an excuse to leave the bar and you get lumbered to pay... :001_rolleyes::wink::lol:

I`m hiding from him..... he thinks we are at Zahora....
But now I know he has crossed the border into Spain we are heading for France...:biggrin:

Fuentes Blancas, it's a municipal site , not brilliant but a handy stopover from the ferry and only 16€ on ACSI

Have arrived at Caceres, a six hour drive on quality motorway, hardly any traffic and not a toll in sight.
Mixed weather from sunshine to pouring rain and snow on the mountains south of Salamanca.
Have washed the RV , now looks spick and span again:thumbup:
Now enjoying the warmth of a big wood burner and a nice beer before a paella and settle for a quiet evening.
Off to Jerez and Cadiz tomorrow .

Good to hear you are in Spain..we left blity on Dec 1 and still abot 180 mile from border. We are ha ing too much fun and entertainment using the Aires in France.

Plans if stick to them is Somport tunnel down to Morrella as its a lovelly town and fabulous views from the Aire. Then across to Valencia down to Dolores then Mahakka to see very good friends. Then its to the Fun rally then Portugal for some Barragem camping and meet up with friends from Germany and Holland who we met wild camping last time there...

But plans may change:blink:

After washing the RV down at Caceres yesterday, with rain last night and again this morning thought bugger what a waste of time.
But no, the Spanish motorways are clean  and after driving for about 5 hours down to Cadiz, I still have a clean RV :001_cool:
LPG available en route no problem.

We are now pitched up on a very busy site www.lasdunascamping.com at ACSI 16Euro rate with 10amp hook up and close to the beach.
A few large rigs, mainly Carthago eurovan types .

A chill day tomorrow and then nose around Cadiz on Monday

BTW the sun was shining this afternoon and a temperature of 16 degs, perhaps we can take some sun down to OldMo Judy and Paul at Zahora on Tuesday :001_cool:

Hi Bro...

We had sun most of the day...

Till Jaws (John & Mo) turned up and it rained...

But from tomorrow it`s getting warmer and warmer.... supposed (According to Spanish forecasters) .. going up over 20 deg by next Sunday.... so looks like back to normal...

We went to Cadiz a couple of days ago.... didn`t stop... couldn`t find anywhere to park... :001_rolleyes::sad:

Keith text me tonight, for the name of this site. ETC.. he is coming tomorrow...

See you in a few days...

XXXX:wink:

After a nice warm day in Cadiz now back settled in RV with feet up . Already eaten in restaurant so a snack will do tonight.

It's an interesting city built on what I can only describe as an island, jam packed with mainly traffic free very narrow streets and attractive architecture , well worth a visit

On the road to Zahora in the morning , only a short walk on a bike if we go by RV . :001_rolleyes:

HI DEE HII HELLOO CAMPERS

A one hour drive from Cadiz started with a problem, the route out had been turned into a weekly market with many streets full of stalls and parked cars.
As a result I had to weave through narrow residential streets, hey oh, all part of the fun :001_rolleyes:
A nice little run down to a cloudy but rapidly improving Camping Pinar Jose at Zahora.
Welcomed by some old friends, yes OLD and harassed by the paparazzi  settled on a nice elevated pitch and all hooked up to water, leccy and tv
After a guided tour of the Rapido , ta Bro, bonjour camping car  a sociable afternoon before settling in for a malt, a vino tinto and anything else I can guzzle

Good morning from sunny Zahora.
Yesterday I nicked Mo's toad and Judy Win and I went to Medina Sidonia, a beautiful historic town on top of a hill, wandered the narrow streets up to the church. Judy and me climbed to the top of the tower up a narrow stone spiral staircase, it was knackering but the views were incredible.
Back on site in the afternoon sat in the sun with shorts on for the first time, looks like today will be just as warm.

Must keep an eye out as the paparazzi are around with big long lens

He shouldn`t be about much today.... he will think it is still night time... I blacked out his long thing with a felt pen, when he wasn`t looking...:biggrin:
