Sooo another failed attempt to deliver two batteries from Spain :tmi:
Arrived on broken pallet with shrink wrapped batteries leaking acid all over the place.
Now to try a French company or change over to 12v batteries with wiring changed to fit
Would now be a good time to switch over to LiFePo 4 batteries?
As an example, I have 4 × 70ah 12v AGM batteries on the 5th wheel which will be getting replaced next year as they're around 7 years old & although they drop test OK, they don't last as long off grid as they used to.
New quality AGMs are around £600, I can fit a Fogstar 560 ah LiFePo4 in the same space & get roughly 3 times the usable power for under £1500 which will hopefully last alot longer (they come with a 10 year warranty)

Not enough to get the T-shirt
So long as they aren’t mice!
Squatters have lots of rights in Spain, if you don’t kick them out within 48hrs it costs €1000s to get them out. Police aren’t interested, local authorities happy to let squatters stay as they don’t have to house/pay them.
10% of holiday villas are lived in by squatters

Well, apart from the Satnav not working as it needed 4 hour updates and the engine batteries not charging from alternator, everything was fine :tmi:
Fortunately I can read road signs and have travelled France many times so not a problem. French fitters had to be reminded that I wanted the (allegedly duff) 6 volt leisure batteries :wasntme:
The journey began with the toll barrier going up and then down as I drove through so I left a bent toll barrier behind. Guess I will stay away from France for a while :giggle:
Still none the wiser about the limp mode but the RV drives ok (y)
Think I will make an appointment with the Wizard of Weymouth on my return in the Spring
