Garmin Camper 770.Never let me down or tried to take me across a river with no bridge !
I also have an older Tom Tom equivalent but wouldn't let me put in co-ordinates so I upgraded. To be honest either or are fine.
If you don’t want to spend out on a Garmin. CoPilot Camper app. Works a treat and has all sorts of features. Cheap for annual or monthly subscription and you put your vehicle dimensions in the same as the Garmins.
I've used a Tom Tom Pro Truck for about six years now. You can input your vehicle's dimensions, switch between car, caravan, bus, or truck. You can even include any "dangerous cargo" (ideal for a full black tank!). It has lifetime free map updates, it's easily updated via my PC and, with the exception of one or two "obvious" errors, hasn't let me down.
We use a “Wifey” it’s so nervous it checks everything. I even have to wear the correct shirt and shoes. Bad weather ? It shuts down if we attempt to move even been known to disable the ignition.
Bowel movements and bladder fullness are also a condition in case I get caught short on the motorway. Think I’ll upgrade it and plug it direct into the mains . SHHHH you ain’t seen me RIGHT
This is good for checking sat nav has taken you on the best route.
Seta coach drivers use it in Europe
You have to put in (single driver and touring coach fast,)
And it will take you on the best road through Europe , I just put that onto sat nav and away we go.
