Total newbie here, we are looking at buying an RV and have seen one which is 36ft long and type 'A Class' we passed our tests prior to 1997, can we drive this type of RV on our normal licence? Many thanks in advance.
Only if it’s under 7.5 tons beware sales patter such as you drive it on a car license. Many are downplated but as soon as you sit in it you’re overweight. If it has slides then it’s unlikely to be under 7.5
Welcome to the forum and if you spend £10 and become full members you can post more and get more detailed help and information than any dealer will give you. More than likely someone here has already owned the RV, you are thinking of buying or the same model.
Good luck with your search and don't buy with your heart.
Hi welcome to the nuthouse any questions someone will have the answer and remember no question is stupid if you don't know the answer, some 36' RV's are over 7.5 ton some under so be ware I had a 36' diesel pusher which was near 13ton
