As you all probably know by now, house is sold and we finally have our RV, which was not our first choice but at £27k cheaper than the one we had planned to buy! We can fill the tank many times over for that saving!
Well we are now planning our adventures and one trip earlier in this thread caught my eye mentioned by grumpy - CYPRUS! We absolutely love the island and spent our honeymoon there so would love to go back again, but, how the heck did you get your RV there?
Do we take it you passed the test last Tuesday then and are finally free to roam about in the new RV :clap::clap:

Rest assured I will be shouting from the rooftops WHEN I pass on Tuesday. SWMBO has now insisted I must do the +E as well so we can take her car with us to Spain or Portugal this winter. No pressure then!!!:sweating::sweating:

I believe you need to go to Greece or Turkey to get a boat to Cyprus. https://cobalt.aero/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw...nsgz5tdp6O7lqSSVSHbRRX0kbpmqW4CQaAvCZEALw_wcB

Also Magbaz travels, they seem to have been everywhere so loads of info. :) http://www.magbaztravels.com/

We'er Off to the canaries for the winter this year, the cost of a tow car, it would be cheaper to hire one down there, with the fuel and boats

Can’t use the ferries at all, sadly, as SWMBO gets violently sick on a boating lake, let alone a long sea crossing!!!:cry: So it will have to be via the tunnel and make the most of the journey darn sarf! We are in no rush and have no intention of returning to Blighty until late April in time for Peterborough and a few other ‘rallies’, MOT etc and then off again later in the year. We have a LOT of catching up to do and so many places to visit bearing mind until we went full time, we hadn’t had a ‘holiday’ for 15 years. I know we are not on ‘holiday’ any more so we intend to spend a month at a time in each place, so we can get a flavour of the local community/ambience etc. before moving on. A trip to Cyprus is a ‘wish’ and I may have to invest in some ‘knockout gas’ to get SWMBO on the ferry!

Reading all this is inspiring. The kids have been living in our house the past two years while we bummed around southern Spain. Realised we were missing all the places in between.
Kids have bought their own place now so ours is on the market and hopefully the RV will be with us within a couple of weeks. Don’t intend to rush about finding a new house. It’s chill and travel time.
Fair travels all...

I'm the same with boats, but have found seasick pills , wrist bands, light food before, staying clear of eating areas have all helped we used several ferries in Canada last year with no problem though pretty short. But we did Plymouth to France overnight and I wasn't sick once, which is first on that crossing.

We’ve always used the Tunnel going back and forth to Spain. We have two border collies so it’s better for them too.
Unfortunately we can’t do that now cos the new RV is Petrol/LPG. Tunnel will not allow us on. I was looking forward to taking the RV on the tunnel. The Ferry will be a whole new experience. Different from years ago when we toured Europe on motorbikes.
