Lunch in Antwerp, Mussels in garlic and white wine, Prawn salad and between us a plate of frites and mayonnaise. To drink a pint of cold pils and a Liptons iced tea, the lot 45€
It was delicious but !!

Hi

If you are lucky you may hit a fuel stop and LPG is cheap, mostly not though. Worth a trawl on internet if you need it. We paid 84 cents 2 years ago in a Dutch station, 30 minutes later a Belgium sit was charging 58 cents and we were full!!!

Belgium is a poor financial start to a trip, simply brace yourself for deep dips into the wallet.

other than beer fuel and fags ,i reckon uk is the cheapest place in the eu and as been for a few years .

but can be warmer in winter than uk .
i have for a few years noticed that uk is getting cheaper .
clothes shoes . carparts etc .
i used to import some of these things from europe but cant anymore . plus eu isnt making much . might box it in eu but doesnt make it . have over the years thought of living abroad but glad i wasnt so daft as actually doing it .
though i admit to liking asturia and cantarbria in spain . shame its not warm enough in winter .

Last year we stayed in a town called Grimbergen a few miles outside Brussels, nice site and the local retaurants and bars were very reasonalble as was the beer. I don’t think it was anymore than here.
Brussels as any capital city was more expensive. Having said that it was only a couple of Euros on the bus from the site into Brussels, which ran twice an hour.
And yes LPG was the cheapest we saw, cheaper than France.

As long as you don't put the wrong name in your sat nav and end up in outer mongolia. On second thought's, spell it how you like :rofl::rofl::rofl:
You spell it how you want... and I will spell it how I like... :001_tongue::lol:

Cheapest LPG price in Luxembourg is 51 cents per litre or aroun 40p per Litre. Worth a diversion before you come home
