Hi everyone!

Tomorrow night we are off to do a Starlight charity walk in aid of East Cheshire Hospice. The plan was/is to stay at our Daughters in Macclesfield but I've been thinking today that we could take the RV and stay over at either a camp site or better still a friendly pub carpark!! Does anyone have any suggestions for us please?
I've looked at the options on the RV friendly sections on here and there's not really anything that looks close enough or suitable. I have the Britstops guide but that is in the RV at Aberystwyth and I am still in Paignton, working tonight then drive home in the morning, get a couple of hours sleep then on up to Macclesfield tomorrow afternoon for the walk, might need some rest on Saturday!!!

The walk is here so some where close to this place would be good if possible :-

If you feel the need to donate or to read why this cause means so much to us look here, Sara that Sonya talks about is Sonyas partners cousins wife, she went through all this a few years ago and was given the all clear, she is now battling it again though this time sadly there will be no happy outcome. Carl and Sara are two of the nicest young people you could ever meet.....

I strongly promise this post was/is not about any donations it is purely looking for a place to stay for the weekend to make it a bit more special for Elaine.

All the best Steve and Elaine

Hi

Stayed here

http://www.royalvale.co.uk

Great site / friendly people stopped at a few of their sites. Will get on ok, suggest 32' may be their limit but well worth it,

Really easy access off main road next to equestrian centre

Knutsford or Maccesfield area pubs with overnight parking

Hi
I echo one of the other posts, Royal vale is a good site, the owners even offered to take us into the town. There is a pub just a short walk down the road. We are 10 meters and got on OK,just be careful.

Thanks for the replies and options, I was just reading through and looking over my options when a brain wave came over to check out the walk venue to see if they have any suggestions as well for near by......... better than near by the have a camp site!! So we are booked in :001_cool:

http://www.capesthorne.com/

They were extremely friendly and helpful on the phone, I asked about 30' RV she checked her available pitches and yes pitch 42 should do us she says, up to 2 dogs are welcome, so no problems there, £25 per night with a £5 discount for tonight as we are doing the walk so booked and almost ready to leave :001_cool:

I will report back on the site after the weekend but I'm confidant all will be good!!

Have a good weekend everyone I'm sure we will :thumbup:
