If I travel through USA but I need a prescription every month does anyone know how to work this ?

When we have been away over 3 months we tell the doctor surgery and they let the chemists know and we take the supply with us, just give them plenty of warning,
Just to add when we ran out the outher year we got our prescription from a Chemist Inthe Algarve,

Get 3 months supply from your doctor, then use the NHS app to order more after and have them sent out to your location.

Is a prescription needed for your items in the USA ??
My prescription items are available 'over the counter' in Europe - I just 'pop in' to the pharmacia with the box and ask for "one more please" (about 20% of the England prescription price)
(If Westminster stops giving us oldies free prescriptions - I shall be bringing my summer supplies back with me
