Hi All,
Just back online, so thought I'd let you know what we've been up to
We stopped overnight on our way down from Durham to Dover at a site in the BPG The Willows at Huntington A1/A14 Nice site, we were on lay by/ parkng area for the campers, which was great, we pulled on and off without having to take the toad off. Nice quiet site, excellent showers and toilets. We've booked a night on the way back, normally we would do the journey in one, but Bob the Teckel Hound is with us for the first time, so we thought it best to stagger it.
From there onto the ferry, we used DFDS this time, a free return given to us after making a complaint last year, (that's another story)
An overnight stop at BienAssie, then down to our first aire, Honfleur. Brilliant!!!
Plenty of space, good dump, nice atmosphere, will be calling there on our way back.
Onward and downward to Pornic, Loire Atlantic to La Boutinardiere, avery nice 5* site. This site is not in the BPG,and we used ACSI, I will detail it for you all later when we get back
Some problems smelling gas, on and off throughout our 5 night stay, another problem I'll detail and discuss with you all later.
At present we are at St. Malo for afew nights. This one was in the BPG, so far so good.
Will update and detail all when we return in a week or so, the weather has been hot and dry throughout!!!!! The Challenger is lovely

Catch you all soon

Hi All,
Sorry just back on now, had afew connectivity and renewing subs problems!!!
Anyway nearly back home now, thanks for all your good wishes, and will bring you up to date with sites etc. when we get home and sorted. We had a great time, with great weather:thumbup: Challenger was just what we wanted
It's just a shame that you have to listen to comments made by people who don't
generally know what they are talking about, who base their comments and observations on little knowledge and in my opinion jealousy. El's sharp tongue can be very usefull somtimes:biggrin::biggrin:

As promised,
We left Honfleur, and travelled down to Rennes, onto Nantes, and then onto the
D751 to Pornic. We had booked 5 nights on a site called La Boutinardiere.
We had emailed them, and also talked to them on the phone to discuss the fact
that we were a 'grand campervan' and would need a large pitch. When we got
there the pitch was a good size, but the access roads made it impossible for us to use the pitch. We were told to choose a pitch for ourselves when the reception
staff saw how big the RV was, the best laid plans!!!:001_rolleyes::001_rolleyes:
So we found a pitch Terry could shunt onto, and we settled in.
Nice site about 400yrds from the sea, good indoor and outdoor pool areas, nice bar and restaurant. Good clean facilities, a very French site. With ACSI we only
paid 16euros a night, plus an extra 2euros for the two dogs.
Good bike routes from the site, some nice little villages to visit, would definitley
use the site again if in the area.
Would be too tight for anything bigger than 34ft, no problems on any of the roads leading to the site
