Can anyone please tell me where the inverter is on the rv as i cant find it to check if its faulty.

If you do really mean an "Inverter" ie 12 Volt up to 240Volt it will almost certainly be an after market install and there will be no set place for it, it could be any where
what is certain is that it "should" be as close to your battery banks as possible
but in any case simply trace the thick red and black cables 1 pair is bound to lead you to it.
If you have chosen the wrong terminoligy then get back with your problem and we will try and help

Why do you need to check if it is faulty ? What's wrong ? Lot's more clues will possibly bring better answers.
