We've just heard that Camping Roche is closed to all arrivals for the next 4 weeks. Apparently loads of folks have fled the lockdown in Madrid and have foolishly headed for Andalusia, raising the risk of bringing Corona virus with them. The owner here, quite rightly, closed the campsite before they arrived.

The good news is we're ok and healthy & can stay and enjoy the peace and quiet of a nearly empty, sunny campsite (y)

Nice one Merv,
Friends in Cartagena are now locked down for just that reason - Madrid'ites fleeing to their homes on the coast to void Madrid restrictions
Campsite owner gets my vote (y)(y)

Sites in UK - there is talk of some 'Club' sites being open but facilities closed - ie: use your own facilities - dumps and water available -
it is going to be quite entertaining watching the tuggers and Europeans carrying their cassettes and rolling their water barrels to and fro EVERY day - aren't we lucky to have large tanks ?? :):)

Please you both ok , we are not going to Lisbon as they have shut all the museum so will stop here and watch progress, but Chris wants to go by April,

Where you heading Chris

Spent 2 weeks there 25 years ago but we was ruffing it in a 4 star hotel . Went pasr it 2years ago and it look derelict but we had a fantastic 2 weeks ,they spoil it i think big shopping center and big hotel near the center but thats progress i suppose,

We drove passed Camping Roche on Thursday on our way to Sanlúcar.
Was the Aires open at Sanlucar? I know they've all been parking on the side street, but the main area was closed

Phew!, lucky we left when we did Merv, we could have been stuck in the same campsite as you for months!
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Just think of all the sessions and backgammon we would have done....:drunk::drunk::tmi::tmi:
Hahaha now that would've been a shame eh?

Where are you lot stuck?

Cabo de Gata near Almeria, couple of Frogs on the site but ok apart from that.
John an Debs, Kev n Bev stayed here so they know how quiet it is.
Stay safe mate and drink plenty of fluids if you run low try water, they say tis drinkable..(y)(y)

At least you have John & Tina's supply of Guinness as back up :D, stay safe and we recommend getting plenty of sunshine
