I seem to remember a thread on here regarding Aires, can somebody direct me, as we are venturing to the continent with the 5er in two weeks for two weeks, and would like to know if there are any aires on the way down to Le Mans.

thanks

Julian, Is it this one on Google maps produced by ex-RVer ScotJimland ?

https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=4-6+Rue+de+Courbiac,+17100+Saintes,+Charente-Maritime,+Poitou-Charentes,+France&msa=0&msid=115843103054280433491.00045c1ab0c50bf957c9d&ll=45.755858,-0.627905&spn=0.001722,0.005177&t=h&z=18

The good thing about showing a French Aire or ANY RV friendly site on a Google map is that you can view and get some idea of its size and how far off a main road it is, very important in my opinion especially if you have a large RV and towing a car on A frame.

I wouldn't any how, just park down the middle and leave side lights on with slide out and go to bed.

I am considering a couple of amber rotating beacons magnetic ones to keep every body awake and to ensure they can see that the slide is out.
He He

Some LED stips under the skirt might do the same, wired into the side lights.

Aires

Buy the Aires guide from Vicarious books. We have just returned from 5 weeks, mostly France and found the book very useful. It paid for itself in 3 days.
