Morning folks...
Heading home to sunny Lancashire today after the Retro and a week in Bridport.
Heading west to Honiton and the M5 then up is a lot shorter than going back via A34 but wonder if anyone has gone that route ? Is it suitable or do we go the long way ?
Thanks

You can go to Honiton on the A35 & then on the A30 to Exeter which is ok. You could also go to Axminster & then up the A358 to Taunton. I've driven both lots of times, but there will be a lot of lorries on both on a Monday morning. Have a safe drive. (y)

Thanks for the reply, much obliged.
I was thinking A35 to Honiton then up to Ilminster on the A30/303 ?
Would straight across to Exeter be better then ?

IMHO
A35 to Honiton - west on A30 to Exeter (all dual carriageway) - join M5(N) @ junc 29
Few more miles but more relaxed driving

Avoid the temptation to shorten by going Honiton direct to Cullompton - you will regret it !!

You could go to Hontion - A30 / A303 to Ilminster (majority single carriageway) - A358 to Taunton (majority single carriageway) - but A358 will be busy with lorries - join @ Junc 25

Thanks for the replies everyone....
Home now, safe and sound...
We did A35 to Honiton, A30/303 to Ilminster then A358 to the M5.
Bar a few hold ups it was plain sailing....
Much obliged everyone.
