Hi Bryan, no its not just you I have thought th same myself, I am limited on what I post comments on as I am not techical by any stretch of the imagination,I have mentioned this before but as Jim says it is a new forum and it will take time problem is that people do get use to the other forums that they use and then because this site isnt posting much instead of them posting they log off i am guilty of this as well but its only because i cannot post as said before on tech matters, but i do visit everytime i am on my computer, and do post replies if i can we will just have to keep trying

ruth

Hi Brian, a specialist forum like this one is always going to be much quieter than the general motorhome forums, American RVs are such a small niche and members will be measured more in hundred/s whereas the general forums have thousands of members.

We already have a lot of experienced RVers here and this will only get better when we start promoting the club in the new year. No one knows we are here yet I'm sure it will get busier as new people join. That said, even when we become a great resource and the place to visit for RV information and advice, the forums will still not busy busy compared to the regular motorhome forums, but they will be busier than they are right now, I hope

During our eight month trip abroad I doubt if I saw more than a handful of RVs, ten at most, perhaps they will have less interest in forums as they don't appear to travel so much.

There are definitely not many of us Jim.

I saw a couple of Polish registered Cruisemasters in Spain. One of them took the whole endcap of the bus when turning right. He got caught between a reinforced concrete fence and a 5ft square fixed concrete pot with a palm tree in it. He was really stuck and was doing damage wether he went forward or back, then he just lost his rag and just dragged her through forward, the noise as she tore apart was terrible.

When he left to go home the rear of his bus was literally held in place with silver gaffer tape, he must have used 20 rolls of the stuff. I think it was a write-off. So that is one less RV in Europe

Losing the rag seldom helps ..

I've been in a few tight spots myself, George bears the scars of a French pavement bollard .. and a street sign.

While in Niort looking for the aire ( bad idea ) we ended up in the medieval part of the city, (I blame TomTom) we went down a one way street which led onto a cobbled lane, barely wide enough for a horse and cart.. crawling along I didn't see a one way sign on a building,.. never looked back to see if it was damaged .. then on a left turn I asked Jan to keep a look out the window, the front was overhanging the pavement.. "all clear" she says.. then the awful sound of cracking fibre glass as George tried to mount a pavement bollard..
The damage wasn't great , only a crack and a scratch on the side, another lesson learnt, the hard way..
