Hi Broke down just of the M25, guy turned up in about an hour, he was a bit surprised as he was expecting a car. Said they should have called out the commercial side, but still fixed it.

Hi - yes we've had experience of RAC arrival more than once!!

First time...July'07 in France with brake problems (not that far from Parc Verger & Bob & Di very helpful - but that's another story ) We had a six hour wait by the roadside as it was a Friday evening and they couldn't find a company with a big enough recovery truck, however (at our request) they finally sent out a mechanic and he managed to get us going much to our relief!

Second time Sept'07 and just as we were leaving a campsite (on our way to see Duncan!) We wondered how they would react to a second call out in the same year from us - but there were no problems at all - the breakdown guy was very very good he even located a part for us at Swadlincote Diesel (he knew a guy there who knew the engine) Had to wait a couple of days for the part, so collected and fitted part ourselves.

Third time July'08 leaving a site nr Hereford - once again RAC were very helpful and took a long time trying to get us going - but on this occasion we had to be recovered to Gold RV in Alton.
The recovery itself was undertaken in a very professional manner with an excellent recovery firm.

Thankfully we did not need them in '09 But sure glad we are covered with them.
