Default Water.

Hello all.

l parked my Itasca Sunrise at the grandstand, on sunday, for my son in law to use for the duration of the Manx Grand Prix races. Slightly sloping tarmac area, l parked tail down, used the levelling jacks, and then the slide. No problems. But, today, l had to move it along slightly for reasons l won't bore you with. And, l closed the slide, drew in the jacks, pulled forward, and backed up maybe 6 feet further along. When l got out to place timber under the jacks l noticed water dripping down from below the dump station locker and the one next to it, the power cable locker. On closer inspection it seems to be coming from all around the lockers, above, behind, and into. l thought l had a pipe leak above, which would be the toilet. So l have had the floor up in the cabinets, traced the pipes, and felt where l couldn't see, and nothing. Nothing under the kitchen sink, and nothing damp anywhere inside. l know l have to search some more, but, l wondered if any of you could shed some light if you have had this happen to you?

It only appeared when the jacks were drawn in and the RV sat slightly tail down after 2 days. The shower was used last night and this morning, (that is on the other side of the RV, although the waste pipe crosses the RV to the waste tank) and the sink and toilet haven't been used all day, there hasn't been any heavy dew, or rain during the last few days. Its a mystery.

Craig.

Hi simsy56,

Is your water filling point also in this locker?

The water filling point has a none return valve which sometime can fail through age or debris stopping the valve from properly closing.

Now you may see a slight drip but when it will really pour our is when you build up pressure with your water pump, the leak will also cause your pressure to drop causing the pump (if left on) to continually keep switching on.

Hope this helps?

Mick

Right! l have found out where the water is coming from. Its the shower waste. I looked high and low, then decided to let a hose run slowly down the shower tray, and after a few minutes there was water dripping from all over the underneath of the RV. Now the problem arises of how to fix the waste pipe. How on earth do l get access to the waste pipes? Are there any access panels?
Any ideas?

Craig
