I am a member on several motorhome sites, IMO there only one site where that goes on, which I have now left, the rest are more or less just as friendly as this one.

That said, there isn't enough RV owners to support several sites and many are on several .. the same names can be found in nearly all the forums.. some will inevitable fall by the wayside while others thrive.. such is life.

On the other hand, it makes a change visiting others, and if you fall out with the site owner you always have another to go to ...

Keep up the good work Jim ..

Mary & I are new members, and as we see it this is a very good forum, given the diversity of the RV's involved. All needs are catered for and a wealth of information and help available. With this level of interest - it can only get better and better.

I also belong to other forums mainly associated with our Airstream - nothing sinister there; but they are USA based. We find that a forum in the Motherland is welcomed.

Keep up the good work - all of you!

Looking forward to putting faces to names at Oswestry.

In 2005 most of the large and several small UK RV dealers formed the RVDA in order to have a BIGGER voice to take on the DVLA with regard to the many grey areas relating to American RVs.

So would this be a better way to go rather than to close one or more of the forums?

Surely an association, group or club speaking on behalf of ALL RV owners would have more chance of being heard or listened to rather than just the 10 members in Billy Blogg’s RV Club?

Perhaps the Caravan Club may then sit up and take a little more notice of the problems RVers incur with their club as a start?

Just a thought.

Hi Mick, good points, well put.

I don't think the CC will listen to RVers requirements/concerns. I'm not sure how many members they have, but when I enquired a years or so ago about putting a flyer in the in house magazine they told me I would need 300,000 flyers for one months issue. They have only just started to accept motorhomers as proper members so a tiny niche like RVs stands no chance.

Do we need someone speaking on our behalf? About what?

I just want some like minded individuals to chat with about RVs and meet up for a beer now and again.
